Crew members of a pediatric specialty transport team will present a case report highlighting the coordinative efforts of various specialties to provide care to a 7-month old who aspirated kinetic art sand. The presentation will start by briefly covering initial transport request, crew (set up*/ dynamics), and the multiple logistical aspects* the team had to account for. A detailed overview will follow covering the patient's initial presentation, immediate interventions by the transport team, and the care provided during transport. The presenters will briefly cover patient management after transfer to the pediatric ICU; which included the involvement of multiple pediatric specialists and being placed on ECMO. The case report will conclude by highlighting the importance of having a pediatric specialty transport team which allows for a tailored response, the ability to provide advanced-clinical management, and to assist in the coordination of resources.
