We know where trauma, stroke, and PCI centers are across the US, but what about air medical assets? That’s where the Emergency Transport Healthcare Operations and Safety (ETHOS) database comes in. A novel resource from the University of Pittsburgh, ETHOS is a real-time dynamic geodatabase of all air medical services in the United States. In this session, we will discuss the details of what ETHOS is, what it can do, and how you can get involved. We’ll look at how this data ultimately helps patients by supporting research, operations, and advocacy missions. This session also covers the policy and governance that protects the data to ensure it works for you to move the industry forward and our vison for the future.
Learning Objectives:
Describe the ETHOS database
Discuss the different levels of data available in the database how to access each of them
Articulate the importance of stakeholders and air medical agencies to the effort
