Julius McAdams is the Manager/ Administrative Chief for Novant Heath New Hanover Regional Mobile Health in Wilmington NC. He has been involved in emergency transport services for over 25 years. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to function as a Paramedic, Tactical Paramedic, and a Critical Care Flight Paramedic. He has had the privilege to hold the positions of Field Training Officer, Base Lead, Operations Supervisor, Education Coordinator, and Director of EMS Education. While holding those positions, Julius gained valuable experience as a clinician and leader. He has developed educational and training programs to meet and exceed standards for accrediting bodies such as CAMTS, CAAS, DMV, and JACO. He has authored and reviewed chapters for various critical care and paramedic textbooks. He is a subject matter expert and item writer for the IBSC FP-C, CCP-C and CP-C exams. He has presented at state and national EMS, Critical Care, and Simulation conferences over the past few years. In 2021 he was awarded the I-CAPP Tim Hynes Award for flight paramedic of the year.
