Nat'l Director Clinical Practice Development
Global Medical Response
Los Angeles, California
I have worked in the Neonatal, Pediatric, and Adult critical care arena since the 1980's. Critical care transport became my passion in the 1990's, both air and ground. We have experienced great changes for good and with that comes challenges. One hurdle that seems to heighten daily is that involving patients with behavioral health emergencies, as well as violence against our front line.
This drives my pursuit to find system support for our people, regardless of stripe colors on uniforms. This ABRAT and VEST study is foundational to deriving scoring tools so we can actively measure events related to patient aggression and violence against our workforce.
