Kara Hernandez RN is the manager of the Emergency Department at Saint Peter’s Health in Helena, Montana. She brings nearly 20 years of nursing experience and a passion for servant leadership to the frontline staff. In her previous role, Kara worked as a flight nurse and operations safety officer at Guardian Flight, where her love of all things safety was a driving force in everything she did.

Outside of work, Kara is all about adventures in the great outdoors, whether hiking, biking, or exploring new destinations with family and friends. She loves to travel and create lasting memories with her husband, Victor, who is also a dedicated RN. Together, they are busy with five (almost grown) kids, filling their lives with laughter, love, and plenty of excitement. Balancing work, family, and adventure, Kara truly enjoys making the most of every moment.
