Fabian Salazar brings 33 years of professional aviation experience, to his role as an Air Safety Investigator, Western Pacific Region of the National Transportation Safety Board.
Fabian began his career at the NTSB in 2018 in the office of Aviation Safety, Federal Way, Washington. Fabian has been the Investigator-In Charge (IIC) of over 150 cases, with 46 being helicopters, resulting in numerous safety changes in the aviation industry. Fabian is considered an expert in the field of helicopter operations and has participated as an instructor during the NTSB’s annual Helicopter Accident Investigators Course. He was the Operations Group Chairman for the Calabasas, California major accident investigation, January 26, 2020, and is currently the Operations Group Chairman for the Halloran Springs, California major accident investigation, February 9, 2024.
