Ed Marasco is the Executive Vice President for External Affairs for Quick Med Claims (QMC). Quick Med Claims provides revenue cycle management and consulting services for medical transportation organizations.
Previously, Mr. Marasco was a Regional Vice President of Hospital Based Services for Air Methods Corporation (AMC). Prior to the acquisition of CJ Systems, he was Senior Vice President for Air Medical Services at CJ Systems Aviation Group.
He spent thirteen years at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in various administrative positions. He was the Vice President & COO of Emergency Resource Management, Inc. He was a member of the Board of Directors for the STAT MedEvac Program.
Mr. Marasco received a BS degree in Secondary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and MPM degree from the H.J. Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. He was certified as an EMT-Paramedic in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Marasco has been involved with health care industry professional organizations for more than forty years. He served as a member of the AAMS Fixed Wing Committee, Finance & Reimbursement Committee and member of the Board of Directors. He represented the AAMS in the Negotiated Rulemaking Process establishing an Ambulance Reimbursement Fee Schedule for the Medicare Program.
Mr. Marasco served on the Boards of several health care organizations, including his role as Chairman of the Board at Jefferson Hospital, a subsidiary of the Allegheny Health Network (AHN), the West Penn Allegheny Health System, the MedEvac Foundation International and the Jefferson Regional Foundation. He served as an Instructor and member of the Council of Regents of the Medical Transport Leadership Institute (MTLI) for twenty (20) years including serving as the Chair. He is Adjunct Instructor of Emergency Medicine in School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh.
